Hi guys,

When I tried to debug my code, there are couple of time I'm hit this error:

The warning indicate my custom table name (sorry, I have to hide some of it), but it has addition of "DebuggerProxy". May I know what is this feature, and why it is says timeout ? and most of all, how to deal with it ?

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

Hi Lars, I don't know about this issue but there seems to be workaround to enable 'Use Managed Compatibility' option, you can check if its still applicable.

If your other Dev VMs are working fine then you can consider creating new VM and deleting this VM, (Wait for other suggestions and decide, Good Luck)

    Hi Mohit,

Thanks for your suggestion. It has the deprecated feature warning though, when I want to enable it.

Btw my Visual Studio is version 2019. Anyway let me try first and come back with the result.

    Thanks

    Hi Lars Volt,

I am not sure about the error. But I got the below URL from Microsoft documentation which discuss about the same issue.

    learn.microsoft.com/.../error-evaluating-the-function-function-timed-out-and-needed-to-be-aborted-in-an-unsafe-way

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

    Hi both,

When I try so far ->

    1. The Use Managed Compatibility Mode, when checked makes my breakpoint omitted. So I turn it back off (unchecked)

    2. The Enable property evaluation and other implicit function calls., when uncheck makes I cannot see my local variable)

    thanks.

Yes, I believe it's already deprecated in VS 2022.

    Hi,

Can I just increase the timeout ? However I cannot find the settings. I suspect because the process is too long, but I'm not sure I can break it either, it will be like rewrite the whole code, and I do believe there is some code longer than this.

    Thanks..
