Good After Noon,

Dear All,

If I am going to setup a new company in Navision 2013 please tell me what are all the setup required functionally in Navision.

please provide me with details on every section including taxation.

Creating a new Company :

Since you are using Dynamics NAV 2013 version you need to open up the development environment and on the File menu, choose Company, and then choose New. The New Company window opens.

Enter the name of the new company in the Company Name field and click ok.

It will take some time to create your new company and once that is been done you can log into your new company using RTC.

Copying TAX setups and other existing setups to new company :

You can use RapidStart Services to copy existing setups to your newly created company. For more info on steps you need to follow please do refer below link : msdn.microsoft.com/.../jj128096(v=nav.70).aspx

You can create a new company using NAV Administration Shell:

Then, depending on the functionality you need, you setup modules accordingly. Mainly it would require:

- Setup of CoA, accounting periods, currencies

- Setup of company information

- Setup of Number of Series

- Setup of particular modules

- Setup of needed financial reports

- User rights management
