Hi, I need to backup the DOMAIN\SQLSERVER DATABASE and restore it to the different DOMAIN\SQLSERVER DATABASE and install MicrosoftDynamics AX2012 R2 using that restored Database...

I successfully backed up and restored the Database to a new Domain and when i install Microsoft Dynamics AX2012 R2 in it , it says the Model Schema was not found in the selected(restored Database) , but i checked in that Domain(using SysSQLSystemInfo::construct().getloginDatabase();) and i got the right Database, both domain have  SQL Server 2014 ... Any Help would be appreciated?? My Goal is to bring that Database to another Domain\Database and install Dynamics in that

I'm getting this error , during AOS Installation as "The Selected Database is not a Model Store Database"

Note : It is a Demo Database which i did a lot of Modifications in that (so i can't use the default Contoso Database)

In AX 2012 we usually have 2 databases: business db and model store db, did you restore both ? Model store db name usually ends with _model

Yeah I restored it both, in my case it is ax2012r2 & ax2012r2_model

Tell me which database ,should I select while installing AOS (ax2012r2 or ax2012r2_model)

? If I select ax2012r2 Database (says : "The Selected Database is not a Model Store Database")

If I choose AX setup---->add or modify---->databases-------->choose existing databases-------> select that restored DB am getting Exception (Model store schema was not found) and this is the same case if I create new Database

Restored Database belongs to Dynamics AX 6.2 and i used Dynamics AX 6.0 setup to install... May be that is the problem i think??

You need to select "AX Data DB" during installation of AOS not the model db.
