Refresh Client Configuration - WCF Regeneration Failed

Unable to refresh Client Configuration. Getting below error message and WCF generation is getting failed.

Method not found: 'Void Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.Services.Metadata.Contracts.FieldMetadata.set_BaseType
(System.Nullable`1<Microsoft.Dynamics.AX.Framework.Services.Metadata.Enums.Types>)'.

We are unable to run the SSRS reports and getting same error.

We tried restarting AOS and Full CIL generation. Still no luck. Please through some lights on the issue.

Try to open Development Client, then go to AOT>Service Groups > AXClient , right click on it and chose Deploy Service Group.

I solved this issue by updating the client.
Mismatch kernel number between AOS and client.

Please check AX Client Kernel version same in your AOS server and client machine.

Yes. It worked for me and actually, just repair(in control panel) the client will solve the problem.

Many thanks, had same issue, AX client versions were good and matching the AOS, but AX client repair helped.
