GL Entry table entries changing abruptly

Hi all,

I'm facing a strange issue. In GL Entry table i.e. table 17, automatically some random document entries credit or debit amount is turning to zero which makes the amount zero. Due to this, the credit and debit amounts of many documents is not matching. I have activated changed log on table 17, but nothing is getting captured. Also, I have checked the code written. Nothing seems to be written which makes these entries zero. Has anyone faced such an issue. Please give suggestions as to what might be causing this?

    Apart from the above 2 comments, will like to include -  Are you calling any standard G/L methods in any of your custom code, I mean inadvertently its getting called.

    There must be some unexpected codes getting executed may be standard as well, may be recursive call too. Did you tried debugging, Wont be that easy but if you sure you dint did anything then thats the only thing left.

    Never came across something like this nor I'm able to imagine a business case for something like this.

    Sounds like a customization?

    This is quite strange behavior which is certainly not standard. If no change log is captured, my best guess it is:

    - either some SQL script is running written by user is doing something what user had not planned

    - or some user is making corrections directly to SQL tables manually

    How many users could have such access to the database?
