Can you filter for multiple Item NO's ?

Hi everyone,

Quick question here regarding the items list in Business Central.

Can I create a filter or some kind of view for specific item codes? For example: I have a large number of items on my list, but I only want a few to be displayed. Product number 101, 102, 104, 205, 207, 305, 601, etc etc etc

What's the best way to do this? Ideally I would like this filter to be present every time someone opens the items list.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the help!

    Hi,

You could probably use the pipe symbol in a filter on the item list to do this i.e. 101|102|104|205....

Here it is on the demo company filtering the item list on certain item codes.

This link has more details on searching and filtering lists https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/dynamics365/business-central/ui-enter-criteria-filters

I'm not sure how you could get this as the default though.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks

In profiles (roles) if you customise pages and then add a saved view all users will have that view. You can then use the logic Gavin mentioned to set your desired filter and pick it from the saved view dropdown list or when the filter pane is shown it will appear as a choice. If you used it last it will generally open the page on that - in the same session i.e. if I close it today and open again tomorrow it will be whatever it is as default

More info on the customise process: docs.microsoft.com/.../ui-personalization-manage

If this isn't to your liking then development could be done
