Release incomplete transfer orders to warehouse

Hi everyone,

we handle a large amount of transfer orders and lines, which are created by code. It could happen that some lines doesn't have enough on-hand inventory and therefore cannot be reserved. If only one line couldn't be reserved the hole transfer order cannot be released to warehouse.

Is there a way to release transfer orders partially? Or is there a standard option that prevents adding transfer lines which cannot be reserved?

We are still using AX 2012 R3 CU 7.

Greetings

Nils

Hi Ivan, any update on partially releasing a transfer order similar to the SO?

    Thanks

ah ok...i will try that too

I am not talking about the release to warehouse from the order, but about the stand-alone form under Warehouse management menu (called "Release to warehouse")

Unfortunatelly the manual "Release to warehouse" fails if one ore more lines couldn't be reserved. All the others were released successfully.

So as i understand we have to ensure that all lines in an order have to be "valid".

Automatic release of transfers does not support partial release. This was on our feature list but did not make the cut. If you feel this is important for your business, please log a support request for it, so it drives the priority of this improvement up.

In the meantime, any chance that using the "Release to warehouse" form will suffice for those orders that fail automatic release?

You should be able to release those that are available for release, which would be those with sufficient on-hand to back it up
