Copy workflow steps to another workflow

I created a "Review original budget workflow" and have it working great. it several approval conditions and multiple steps per each choice. I would like to use these exact same steps and conditions in the "Review budget revision workflow". Is it possible to copy steps between workflow types or duplicate a workflow under a different workflow type?

I have the same question (0)

Hi... Don't see an option to achieve this. You can export both workflows in (XML) and see if you can make sense out of it and try to adjust XML's. Given the steps and usage of GUID everywhere in workflow and their linkages, this seems way tedious than just adding conditions manually. You may be better off doing this manually.

    Hi Donald,

Open two workflows, and use copy/paste feature directly.

    Hi Mattguo,

Already tried this and it didn't work. Scope of copy / paste was limited to workflow that I copied.

I havenot tested whether it actually works, but it can be copied/pasted from one workflow to other.

For a new created workflow, should include an item in the screen, then it can be pasted.

Curious to know if a solution was ever found. I have the exact scenario as the OP, and it seems tedious to manually create all the same steps. I could not figure out how the original workflow steps were copied into the new workflow - I don't seem to have that option.
