simple/quick question - does Contractor have access to Employee Self Service in Dynamics 365 HR?Can he ask for vacation days, sick leave, add his competencies etc.?

To my understanding, Contractors do have access to ESS and some of its features. Depending upon the type of leave plan it can be assigned to contractors as well.
Please see the screenshots below that shows what a contractor can expect-
Brooke only has contractor role
She can be assigned a leave plan, as shown below-
When she logs on to ESS, she sees-
