Error coming for transfer orders in AX 2012

There is a crucial error I am facing when doing the transfer orders. I am getting the below message when doing the transfer orders. "Number sequence 22565430676 has been exceeded". Any idea what does it mean?

Now I am not able to make a single order. I am completely stuck in between my work.

Regards,

Dhanoop R.Warrier

Have a look at the transfer order number sequence and see if the "Next" is at the limit. Essentially there is a number sequence where there are no "Next" numbers available, but you have not really said what you are doing to the transfer order, so you will need to think about what you are doing and validate the related number sequence.

    Hi Weaveriski,

I am trying to transfer some goods from one warehouse to another.

I am using Inventory Warehouse Management --> Periodic  --> Transfer Orders

When I am checking the sequence number I am getting confused which one I have to edit the "Next" column.

I have to add something there or what?

    Thanks,

    Dhanoop

But you have not said if you are creating one, picking one, shipping one, receiving one etc.

You don't edit the "Next" column because it will then restart and could not create the same records - I would recommend creating a new number sequence and replacing the existing one with the new one.

    HI,

    Sorry for that.

I am getting the same message even though I am doing picking, shipping or receiving.

All the time the error message is saying "Number sequence 22565430676 has been exceeded"

    Regards,

    Dhannop

Have a look at the transfer order voucher in the stock number sequence parameters and align it to a new one.

    Hi Dhanoop,

Please check the System ID number sequence. You can find this one on the legal entity form PER company. Then check as Steve said: Is the next number on its limit?

This number sequence is used for the Parm-Id fields in posting update tables.

    Hi Andre,

When I checked in System ID sequence, the Number allocation is Smallest:1, Largest : 999999,             Next: 12851.

So it needs to be edited? If I edit it, does it make any problem in the already posted sequences?

    Thanks,

    Dhanoop

As the last is 999999 and your next is 12851 that has no issue in finding the next one as it is free.

    Hi Dhanoop,

If you open the Number sequences list page, you can use the advanced filter/sort form to filter on the Record-ID field of the Number sequence code table. Use the value '22565430676' as this is the number sequence which gives you the error. Then you can find out which number sequence causes your error.

    Hi Andre,

I could find the number sequence by applying the advanced filter. Thank you very much.

For that sequence code smallest : 14000, largest 14999, next 15000.

But it doesn't make any sense to me. How this thing causes sequence number error when posting?

Your advice is very much appreciated. All of my work is pending due to this error in transfer orders.

    Thanks in advance.
