Change tracking dimension label on SalesInvoiceReport

We are using uncontrolled serial numbers to register product details at the time of invoicing.  To our customers, these are not serial numbers, but rather "Lots".  Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I can change the label output from serial number to a custom label on the SalesInvoiceReport?  The SSRS report is printing InventDimPrint from SalesInvoiceDS.

AX 2012 R3 Cu9.

    do you want to change header only for report Data?

    I'm not sure what you mean by "Header only".  This field prints in the body of the form based on the options selected in Accounts receivable/Setup/Forms/Form Setup.  On the invoice, I have selected to print Site and Serial number.

    Under the invoice line, it prints:

    Quantity : 1000  Site : 20  Serial number : AB12236

    I would like it to print:

    Quantity : 1000  Site : 20  LOT : AB12236

    This is being done at below location

    \Data Dictionary\Tables\InventDim\Methods\dimReportStrAll

    it is actually taking labels from EDT properties.

    Ikes - we decided to just use REPLACE in the SSRS report design to change the string for this particular document and it seems to be work fine.  Thanks for your help!

    I thought such a solution, at first moment i.e. to replace the part of string at SSRS. But at next moment I thought I can be a disaster in case if out coming string contains something which was not supposed to be omitted.

    Let suppose, string which is coming from AAX to SSRS is as following:

    Quantity : 1000  Site : 20  Serial number : Serial number

    Now, at SSRS, if I write logic to replace ‘Serial Number ’ with ‘Lot’, following will be output

    Quantity : 1000  Site : 20  Lot: Lot.

     

    There are very minor chances that any user will create a serial number with primary key as “Serial Number”, but technically speaking yes, AX can accept such a value.
