Hello,
I am doing a Open in Excel from D365fo form which uses a custom entity and updating the data in the sheet and try to publish it, the operation throws an error but still publishes the data. Any idea why this happens?
Hi Srikanth,
Can you tell more about your data entity? Are you using one or multiple data sources? Please share some details which would help us understand what you have done so far.
HI Andre,
This is a completely custom entity and has multiple data sources on it.
The form is an inquiry form, and I have put some filter criteria on it which has filtered out some data.
Then I have selected the Open in Excel and downloaded the sheet. Opened it and made some changes to the data in the spreadsheet and then clicked on the Publish button, which ran into the above error but still published my changes to the original data source.
I went back to the form and my changes were there on it.
This confuses users on whether the update was successful on it or not.
Thanks
