import chart of accounts

I'm trying to import some accounts into an existing company.

It keeps failing on the account category type though. Does the import use the account category numbers or the actual description for this?

Edit:

You need to import using the actual descriptions:

"{GL00102.accatdsc}"

Why can't I respond to my own threads? Wierd.

    When importing a Category, you have to import the Category name exactly as it is entered in Category setup.  You cannot use the number that represents the category, leave it blank or a Category import that does not already exist in GP.

    If you use Cateogries, you will need to make sure the file includes the proper category name, or import them to a common category and you can reclass it later.  If you do not use categories, copy the first one in the list in Category Setup and have all items import using that category.
