Production Order BOM Exploded

I have a planned production order for the item, when I looked at the derived requirements I have two boms NOT exploded on there, and both of these have their Item form > Engineer > Phantom box unchecked. I firm this planned production order, and when I look at the bom for it at the All production orders list page, one of the boms is exploded out.

Are there other parameters besides Phantom that determine whether or not a bom will be exploded on either a planned production order or a production order?

    RE: Production Order BOM Exploded

    Hi cicconej582,

Only setting is item type on the production bom line type for the component..I had SP02 and SP03 as part of item SP01. SP02 is made up on SP02.1, SP03 is made up of SP03.1

On the bom for item SP01. I have two sub components SP02 (Line type on the Bom = item) and SP03 (line type on Bom = Phantom). See result below. If you can't figure out with existing item, suggest that you create new item and try with those items to make sure you are not working with data related issues.

    Hi cicconej582,

Can you confirm if my understanding is right so we can probably look for a solution..

You have bom item A, which is made up of another bom item B and C.

When you look at planned order you see item A, behind it are items B and C.

You firm planned order for item A, you see the components (BOM) behind it are item B (not exploded) and item C.1 / C.2 and so on (C exploded into individual components).

    Thanks,

    Satish Panwar
