Hi expert, how to automatically import the shipment tracking number, for example UPS or FedEx, into the NAV once the shipping are closed at the end of the day? Thank you!

One question when do you get the tracking number from shipping agent before posting the shipment or after ?

We don't have standard functionality you have to do some customization

If you have that information before you post the shipment you can key that value on a new field on the sales header and add the same field with same field no. on sales shipment header which will flow that value to shipment when you post the shipment.

If you don't have that information before posting shipment then you need to import those values at the end of the day using an xmlport or a job queue routine.

I don't think there is an automated functionality for this. You may have to design an XMLport to import the details. You may check the below video for xmlport creation.
