Hi,
I have a general Navision question we have a client that is using GP with Binary Stream's Multi-Entity Management. They have a sister company in France that is using Navision (I don't have the exact version) and they were inquiring if Navision had similar functionality or if there was a 3rd party available.

As Roberto wrote, NAV indeed is capable to handle intercompany transactions - regardless the fact the companies are in the same database or in different databases. MSDN has relevant help for NAV, please start from here: msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh168961(v=nav.90).aspx

you can use intercompany AS intracompany... you can have more companies in one database or you can have more database for different localizations witj one or more comoanies.. is teh same.
You can make consolidated financial statements reading data from more companies (using busiss units).

NAV is multi companies based (with share table features if you need..) and
owns also intercompany feature (based on Database or XML data syncronizastion), different from GP.
