Hi,

Is the best practice for index still valid for D365FO?

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/developer/best-practices-for-indexes

Thanks,

I have the same question (0)

I think yes, i don't see why it should not apply to D365FO.

    Hi Yuji ,

    Yes , it’s still valid.

By the way, Follow standard best practices of developing SQL (using indexes on join conditions, correct primary keys, etc) will minimize this impact on the performance of queries on a table.

So it's not just the index, you can do anything about SQL optimization to improve performance
