Can not Post Route Card or End production Orders

Unable to end production orders get error that Ledger Account for WIP issue must be specified . The Route card journals can not been posted and they can not validate.I have attached screen shorts showing every the resource with the error has WIP account specified.

There are also production orders with the same Resources that end . Please see screen shots.

Can you please try to define WIP account at Resource group level and give a try...?

One question: Are you trying to select the account by drop down (in the posting profile setup) or just typing it...?

Two more questions: 1. Can you please try to create GL Journal for WIP accounts and validate...? (dont post)

2. Can you please verify how many resources are associated with operation 1...?

Hi, Francis.

I think your problem isn't related to the accounts on your resources or group or resources. Maybe your production order isn't setup to take what you have defined on your resources.

When you start your production orders you can find the "Ledger" option on the "Setup" area:

If you have chosen the "Item and resource" the accounts that need to be setup are the ones in the resource o resource groups (according to your screenshots, it seems to be ok).

However if you have chosen "Item and category" your cost categories must be defined. In the cost categories you setup the price per hour of your resources, the cost group that they will belong to and the accounts where ledger will be posted to.

In the option "Production groups" you need to have configured your production groups, that are similar to the item groups.

You can define your default option in that field in the production parameters.

If that's ok (in your case, it should be the option "Item and resource"), maybe your accounts are well setup but they are lacking from a valid account structure.

Thanks it look like it may have been and account structure issue. We are checking some other items in productions orders.

Hello Francis,

I am also facing the same issue upto packing slip its posting properly, but while posting Route card its through the same error what you had shown, did you find any solutions for this issue?

Am using AX 2012 R3 version
