how to integrate Dynamics 365 BC with Dynamics 365 CE on Promise
I am currently working on the same requirement, and I am having the same questions.
I feel like there is not enough information about the difference between the methods of integration and when to use which method.
so please share with us your findings, I will share as well once I figure out the best way to do it.

I read in your posts that in 2019 you were trying to integrate Dynamics 365 BC with Dynamics 365 CE, both on premise, and you were having a lot of difficulties with it.
Well, today I have the same problem. I need to integrate Dynamics 365 BC with Dynamics 365 CE, both on premise, and I can't find any document or information that helps me with this integration.
Please let me know if you were successful in your implementation and if you can help me with this.

Found it, simply put up until BC16.4 (BC 2020 Wave 1 CU4) you won't able able to connect On-premise (BC to CE) without modifying the Base Application code reason is Dynamics 365 Connection setup page will tries to get connection details from CDS setup (dataflex pro).
Hi, did you get any help on connection BC to CE, both on premise. I have same issue when using Dynamics 365 Connection setup I get error of you need to enable CDS connection, which obviously does not apply to on-premise deployment.

I am working on on-premise installation of both BC and CE. Still I did not get SSL certificate , so I am using http protocol only. I am getting the following error.
