NAV 2015 Webclient URL

Does anyone has implemented a user defined URL for NAV webclient. I have a client wants to provide a user defined URL for NAV webclient, so user no need to remember the lengthy URL.

Example : We would like to access the webclient using this URL https://webclient.nav2015.i.company.com.au instead of https://webclient.nav2015.i.company.com.au/dynamics80/webclient

Any idea how to implement this ? or is it not possible at all ?

Hello SRKConsultancy,

I feel like this requirement is something you can solve playing with the IIS setup more than playing with the NAV setup.

If you go to the IIS Manager, you should find for your site what are called "Bindings". In there you can specify what URL should that site respond to. In there you can define any kind of host url you wish. All you will need to do afterwards is make sure that the host URL you've set up is actually redirected to the machine hosting the IIS server from whatever machine trying to access it :-)
