Dear Community,
i have problem with setting up Lead Scoring.
We want to set up a lead score for a specific customer journey.
Here ist my first question - The Lead has the information about the source customer journey. But how can i maintain the condition that only leads with source customer journey "ABC" are scored in this lead score.
Do i need to maintain the customer journey ID there or the name of the customer journey?
Furthermore we want to score specific links in the e-Mail.
In the customer journey we send three emails. Each email has a specific link to our website.
How I can maintain the specific links?
If specific Link in e-mail 1 ist clicked in the journey please add 5 points.
If specific Link in e-mail 2 ist clicked in the journey please add 15 points.
If specific Link in e-mail 3 ist clicked in the journey please add 20 points.
Do i need to maintain redirect URLS and use them in the marketing e-mail?
Or how can i maintain a condition to meet only when a specific link in a specific email is clicked?
Do I need to maintain the marketing e-mail-name there?
Or which of the following attributes i have to choose?
Thank you very much!
Best Regards
Jennifer
Hello Saurabh,
do you know if this has been fixed already?
For the workaround - does it mean i have to put in the destination link as the value of the field "Original Link" and it will target that specific one?
Thank you for your help!!
Best,
A
For the scoring based on source journey you do need to specify the ID of the customer journey
You should be able to get the ID by opening up the customer journey in the browser and looking at the very end of the url for a "&id=". The value after the equals should be the ID.
For the specific link in email you will need to follow a similar pattern. The property you are looking for is "Message" and you will need to specify an ID for the message. The message ID can be found by following a similar pattern of looking at the url when the email message is opened.
For specific link in the email. One option is to use the Original Link property and specify the full url of the link (e.g. https://www.domain.com/link) that you were trying to score for.
This isn't the easiest approach so I would also suggest you go and upvote this idea for specific link clicked scoring - https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=e5bd2e69-b7b6-ea11-bf23-0003ff688f94
You are right unfortunately the documentation doesn't go into these details. We are looking at improving it and covering more of these scenarios and property references.
Hope this helps for now.
Thanks
Hello Jenni221
Related to your query on if you need to maintain redirect URLS and use them in the marketing e-mail? Or how can you maintain a condition to meet only when a specific link in a specific email is clicked?...You can check the below documents for your requirement .
Dear Priya,
thank you for your answer!
I know the docuemntation. :-) Unfortunately, my use cases are not described there in depth, the documentation does not help me at this point.
In my opinion Microsoft has to do some rework.
Best Regards
Jennifer
