I need to set up an item coverage per warehouse on a product. Can i have coverage code of Min/Max item for the one warehouse and then have the item coverage code of the other warehouse to be Requir? So is an item allowed to be assigned to more than 1 type of coverage code?

I have the same question (0)

And change the "Override Coverage Group settings" in Item Coverage.

Andreas i have another question regarding Master Planning. I want to run replenishment planning for a production warehouse. What status does the production order need to be in for master planning to see it as a requirement? In Created status will planning pick up that the production floor requires those materials>

I want to create a planned Transfer order from the bulk warehouse to the production warehouse

    Hi,

If MRP sees demand, it should create a planned production order and also a planned transfer order for the raw materials to the production warehouse.

    Regards

    Dolores

    Hi Andreas,

I was busy testing something now and came across an issue. I dont have a default coverage group set up on the item, instead on the item coverage page i have setup to use two different coverage groups per warehouse( see picture 1). If i run Masterplanning, and filter to include Coverage code of Test 2 for example, it doesnt run for the item at all. I noticed it only runs when the Coverage code is actually set up on the item(see picture 2).It then runs masterplanning for both warehouses even though i specified that the one should use Coverage group Test 1. This wont work for me because the item will require to different Coverage codes(so i can run masterplanning for each warehouse separately)

Do you know why this is happening?

    Hy Antigonie,

as I did just some investigation on filtering master plans and I also believe to remember from a prior task that the filter you can setup at starting of master planing is just used to find the item numbers which will be planned in this run.

So this means for me you can not select only to plan a warehouse which is used in item couverage or a couverage group which is assigned to an item in item couverage. As I'm not as 100% sure for this, may be a any master plan expert can confirm this.

But what is the reason to run the plan for each warehouse seperately?

    Hi Andreas,

After some investigating i noticed the same thing. I want to run specific warehouses daily, and others weekly. But i have a workaround. Ill run all daily, and just firm the ones i need weekly once a week. I wil also run using regeneration so when i run it at the end of the week it will create all planned orders from scratch

    Hy Antigonie,

this is was also Microsoft recommends to run the MRP complete over all site/warhouses as you can't fulfill any requirements if you have transfers orders. And then just filter and firm for the site/warehouses you want to serve.
