Dynamics 365 for Sales, very slow saving and completing Activities

We have been using Dynamics 365 for Sales for a couple of months now and we are noticing that it it extremely slow when saving activities that are being marked as complete (can take up to 16 minutes), and also when we change anything on an account or contact card and click save it will take a number of minutes to save.  As everyone will imagine this is annoying users greatly and they are ending up with several browser windows open all saving!  Does anyone have any idea what could be slowing it down?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Do you have workflows or plugins attached to activities, contact and account ?

    Hi Wilks,

In addition to Mehdi's suggestion, try another browser to see if you still have this problem.

Also, when saving activity, account or contact, you could check in the System Jobs if there are some processes running in the background, which slows the saving of records.

    Hi,

Please check your customization like Workflow / Plugin, etc. which include on the Activities, Account and Contact entity. Also, try to deactivate / disable your Workflow / Plugins, etc. and check if you see any improvement in the performance.

Can you let me know whether you are using On-Prem or Online version of Dynamics CRM?

In case if you are using On-Prem, there could be a chance any background activities / jobs are running at the DB level, which causing this performance issue.

Hope this will guide you to the right direction.

    Hi,

You can also check the latency and if that work perfectly then I would suggest to connect with Microsoft Support.
