Vendor with multiple addresses

Hi all,

i have a vendors with multiple address.

Example : HP computer having multiple locations 1) Hyderabad 2)Bangalore 3)Chennai.

at present we have created 3 different vendors with 3 different addresses.

how to create these 3 address in one vendor and create p.o?

Create different vendors and have one main account for the vendor that you use as your invoice account on the other "departments".

Best example for this is when the different vendor departments use different currencies as well, but you still want one account for financial control against the vendor.

Arguably the warehouse dispatch is irrelevant, the vendor chooses this you cannot tell the supplier how to supply. However you can have relationships where you have set items or agreements that come from specific locations. The current approach is to create separate vendors - there is no "order from" address in reality and the delivery address is yours. To get around billing you have them as the same invoice account, but separate to allow distinct ordering strategies.

Nope, when i create PO i have to select the address right. but only primary address is visible. how to select another address. yes, vendor is having 3 address.

Hello manikumar,

Do you refer to a different delivery address? That one can be changed later on e.g. in the address tab of the PO line details form. If you cannot select all addresses Setup probably try adding a different purpose to the address that you setup.

but how to select the address while doing Purchase order?only primary address is showing up

Hi,

Do you have some specific requirement that induced you Setting up multiple vendors e.g. from an accounting / analysis perspective?

If not, then you can simply add multiple addresses in the vendor master table.
