Dear

i got the below error while trying to create a Purchase Order from a Purchase Requisition

The error is the following:

"pruchase requisition line was pre-encumbered in a fiscal year that is different from the accounting date of the purchase Order hence the purchase order can't be created"

the Purchase requisition is in 2013 and the purchase order is in 2014 , i don't see what the problem is

your feedback is greatly appreciated

Hi Abdo,

I have not the experience with this year end pre-encumbrances yet, but there is a periodic job in the general legder menu called "Purchase order year-end process".

It could be related. To my understanding it should transfer some opening budget amounts.

Have you checked this option?

This is standard error message related to Purchase requisition validation when a Purchase order is create

As message suggest

and as per standard AX logic

system

Do not allow the purchase order to be created if the transaction date of the purchase order is not in the same fiscal calendar year as the accounting date of the purchase requisition line

Please verify this in AX 2012 R2 CU7

Classes\RequisitionPurchaseOrderGeneration\validateFiscalYear()

If think may be if you don't want to follow the standard logic then you need to modify the logic,

but standard logic is required as per accounting principle.

so according to this error the system is stopping me because i have applied the ledger calander year to be from 1/1 to 31/12 while my budget calander year is from 1/6 to 31/5.

would changing the Ledegr fiscal calander probably to much the budget calander fix this ? what do you think?

I am still not on AX R2

Hi ABDO,

I think you can raise an incident at Microsoft. It should be common business what you are doing. I don't know if changing the calendar year will help.

Experts,

I am also stuck in a similar situation. There where some purchase requisitions created in 2014 , and when we try to create a purchase order out of it, the system throws an error"Purchase requisition line was pre-encumbered in a fiscal year that is different from the accounting date of the purchase order". Is there any standard way to fix this problem.

We have added new fiscal year 2015 to our calender.

Help Appriciated.
