We are facing some issues with user roles being assigned to an organization. Users are unable to utilize the forms as usual, either not seeing any data or not having access to certain buttons or functionalities.
For example, this current user has our AMF Receiving Coordinator role assigned to the ACAN legal entity. Once this was done, he was no longer able to create or delete any warehouse fixed locations.
Are we missing something blatant or is this working as designed?
It sounds like the issue could be related to how the security roles and permissions are configured for the AMF Receiving Coordinator role, specifically about the ACAN legal entity. You need to check the permissions for the "Warehouse Fixed Locations" menu item in the AMF Receiving Coordinator role. Ensure the user has "Create" and "Delete" rights for that form under Warehouse Management. Sometimes roles may have limited permissions assigned by default, so you might need to manually adjust the privileges for this specific functionality.
Also, verify that the role assignment for the user is correctly scoped to the ACAN legal entity.
Check if the user has any other roles assigned that might override or conflict with the AMF Receiving Coordinator role.
Can you provide some more details, please? Limiting a role to an organization will not remove access to menu items in the legal entity to which the person has access.
What are the contents of this custom role? Was there any additional change? E.g. roles removed from this user? You provided an example of warehouse fixed locations. Is the user able to open the form? If so, most likely something different should have triggered making the form read-only.
