Migrate Plugins and JS code

Hello Everyone

We are currently evaluating the amount of work to be done to migrate our on-prem CRM to Dynamics 365 Online. We have a lot of self-written plugins and also some JavaScript code to migrate. So far I have found out that except from using a newer SDK, plugins don't need much work and can be used as they are. I have not, however, found anything about JavaScript code. Could anyone guide me to a ressource or just tell me how much work JS needs in order to work with Dynamics 365 Online? Or maybe it just work out of the box without any changes, I don't know.

Thank you in advance for your help.

RE: Migrate Plugins and JS code

It is a correct assumption that both javascripts and plugin code are very much the same. However you can consider using oob controls, business rules, etc where possible to replace the javascript and possible replace performance heavy plugins with azure technologies such as logic apps or azure functions.
