Hi Mohana! Thanks for your response. Actually we are setting up NAV on cloud and we have users across several countries who has to access the web based application. Is there a way to authenticate the users via a portal? As a single sign on (SSO)?

    Hi Jaya,

You can configure NAV to authenticate with office 365.

Check this link on msdn: msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn789650(v=nav.90).aspx

    Regards,

    Marcell

Also, refer to Authenticating Users with Azure Active Directory. Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) is a cloud service that provides identity and access capabilities, such as for applications on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Office 365, and for applications that install on-premises. If the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server instance is configured to use the AccessControlService credential type, you can associate the Microsoft Dynamics NAV user accounts with Azure AD accounts that users use to access the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Web client, Microsoft Dynamics NAV Windows client, Office 365, and SharePoint (msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn414569(v=nav.90).aspx).

Agree with other members, one straight-forward option is to use SSO with Office 365. Follow also:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn864866.aspx

Also, refer to msdn.microsoft.com/.../dn757068(v=nav.90).aspx for Configuring Authentication and Single Sign-On Between Microsoft Dynamics NAV and SharePoint

Agreed with answers. Most reliable and flexible way is to use O365 authentication. Once you have the O365 portal access you can setup NAV instance with a use of just one PowerShell query. Plus it is very easy to manage. Let us know if you need more information.
