Hey there,
How doI find out who posted a particular GL entry in NAV 2009?
Better still - is there an user audit / activity report I could run in NAV 2009?
Thanks a lot in advance
Raj

GL Entry has field called USER ID that specifies who posted the entry.
As far as Audit/activity. There is GL Register that has all the transaction related to a posting.
Hi Rashed,
Thanks a lot for getting back to me. I am noobie when it comes to supporting NAV. So apologies in advance for what may seem like very basic questions for you.
The screen I am looking at is 'Chart of Accounts' under General Ledger (Finance Management). There's one entry on this screen for which we need to find out who created it. I can't find a USER ID field I'm afraid. I looked into available columns under View menu and it's not there as well.
How do I find out who ceated an entry that comes up in the Chart of Accounts?
Thanks again :-)
Hello.
From the Chart of Accounts, you will need to 'navigate' to the Entry.
From the Chart of Accounts find the Account in question.
Hover over the 'Net Change' field for this account. The Amount will become underlined.
After the amount is underlined, click it and this will open the General Ledger Entries page.
From the General Ledger Entries, you will need to modify the page to show the UserID field.
In the subform ribbon (Posting Date, Document Number, etc), right click and select Choose Column'.
Select the User ID field and click Add to move it to the Show columns in this order side.
Click OK.
The page will close and reopen.
You will now be able to see the User ID that posted the transaction.
Hopefully that is helpful for you!
Hey Joel,
This really helps. Thanks a lot. I can now see the USEID field.
Although, when I hover over the net change field, the amount did not get underlined. However, I clicked on the pull down (arrow) menu that'd come up and reached the general ledger entries page.
Thanks again. :-)
