Charts on Dynamics Nav WEB

Hello,

Charts on Dynamics Nav WEB

I'm currently looking to add some charts on the Web Client interface for Dynamics NAV 80.

After some research I found that the only type which should work on the web client is the Business Charts.

So, I did create a business chart, no problem, but it doesn't appear on the web client interface. I also see that it's possible as there is a post : http://www.mibuso.com/forum/download/file.php?id=4598

So I would like to know if there is some setup to do to activate charts on web clients or if there is another way to create this charts.

Bonus points, if it also work on the tablet interface ;-)

Thank you for your help

    Hello,

In my case for NAV 2015 I went to the page "Control Add-ins" and selected the record with the Business Chart add-in. Then I selected "Import" action and imported the file from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\80\Service\Add-ins\BusinessChart

After that I refreshed the page and the business chart appeared in the web client (it was on a Role Center).

    Hello,

No, I'm sorry we didn't find out this part, ... I check all the propositions but I didn't find out the source of this problem.

If you find out, let me know ...

    Thank you

    Hi Vincent Moitry,

Did you find solution to the chart not getting displayed in web client.

Cause we are also having the same in Dynamics NAV 2016.

Make sure you have JavaScript manifest imported.

Go to Control Add-ins and import it there. If it's empty - take cronus database, export control from there and import it to yours.

    Good luck.

    Thank you for your help.

No problem with the visibility parameter (= <True>), I will try to delete the add-ins and replace them.

I thought it was a problem of setup as it works with Cronus company or with a new company but not with the one I did upgrade from previous versions.

I will keep you in touch

    Hello,

Make sure the visibility parameter is not conditioned by the client type. Some objects do not work or are not displayed by default if the client used is the web client.

    Hi Vincent,

We had the same Problem with NAV2016CU1.

try to remove all Add-Ins from the table and copy them again from the Cronus Company.

    Regards

    Joe

Ok ... I tried on the same setup with a CRONUS Database and it worked ... so it must be an object inside the database that block the system ...

Thanks for the leads you have provided ... :-)

Should I modify a setup table or something to parameter the activation of the charts in the web client?

No, I tried on the RC ...

For test purpose I also just test on the Microsoft Demo Virtual Machine (NAV 70), and the charts on the president Role Center don't work either ...

But maybe, it start in NAV 71, I don't think Microsoft did post a NAV 80 Demo VM

So I'm clearly doing something wrong ... I keep looking ...
