Purchase order line split into multiple batch numbers during registration - Marking

During PO line registration a single PO line gets split into two or three batch numbers when the line is marked to a line of Production Order, as soon as the marking is removed I can register the line with a single batch number as intended.

Any idea why this is happening? Is this controlled by a setting that I am missing somewhere?

Thank you.

The solution is to combine the split transactions. As the two transaction are marked with different quanrantine order, you must remove the marking to combine them.

I'm not sure I follow, we're not using quarantine orders.

Try removing the Marking to combine them.

That's the thing, there's nothing to combine as there's one PO line and one Production order line.

What do your dimensions look like?

Is there a way to setup marking only on the Production Orders and Sales Order and not on Production Orders and Purchase Orders?

There's a global parameter in Master Planning Parameters > Standard Update > Firming > Update Marking

Any way to achieve this requirement?
