Modification of Pages, Tables with Nav 2013 R2 - development issues?

Posted on by 5,124

Hello,

I am new with Dynamic Nav 2013 and had gone through training already.  I am ready to make changes.  the company that I work for purchased the Nav 2013 R2 with licensing to create x # of pages, tables, codeunits, etc.  However, I am not able to add any columns at all to any table (e.g., sales header).  Could it be because I am not using the correct range ID?  If so, how do I know what range IDs to use?  Is this something that the REseller can provide us?  Please advise.

Thank you all so very much!!!!! Yes! You were right.  I just had to use 50000 range and I was able to add a column in an existing table and/or create new table/pages!  Much obliged!!!!

    Hi ,

For any customer specific customization there is a separate object number series needs to follow which is 50000 - 99999.

Please follow below link for more info about development object ranges:

    hi mbr,

wrong fields numbers in table i think, try with 50.000, 60.000 etc. numbers for fields, depend on your user licence.

You can't add standard fiels numbers ex 23,23 in table etc. , if you have ISV granule on your license (i think not because is expensive) you can add fields with your addon installed (if you have one).

    hi,

the object-id of new objects should start with 50000.

new field IDs should also start with 50000. if this does not work for you it's not in your license.

    best regards
