hi there

does the RCTRXSEQ field get populated with information from every GL transaction even if is not a recurring one?

Hello Jessica,

Thank you for posting your question on the GP forums.

When entering transactions into the General Ledger Entry window, only Recurring Transactions/Batches will have the RCTRXSEQ. I tested posting a Journal Entry without a Batch (Non-Recurring), Journal Entry saved to a Batch (Non-Recurring) and Journal Entry in a Recurring Batch. The only one that update the RCTRXSEQ was the Recurring Batch Journal Entry.
