    Good morning @rp@n,

There have been a number of replies for this thread and I wonder whether you have been able to get things sorted out and resolved in the meantime?

Is there anything else the community can currently help you with?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

It's read and write both code. You just wanted to see how to write code to retrieve data in excel. That's why shared 2 different link.

Here i feel that you want readymade code for your use.

    Hi Arpan,

Martin is right. You have to use search engine and you need to learn the coding. Nobody will give you code ready which will work directly for your requirement.

I can't give you code generating your report, because I know nothing about your requirements. And if you're looking for examples how to use SysExcelApplication class, simply use a search engine, as I already told you. You need to learn how to do it; we can't do it for you every time.

Then your first step should be evaluation how you can build the report. Maybe you can use SSRS, maybe Excel Add-In, maybe you can design an Excel template and populate it with data on some way, maybe you need building the whole document in code and so on.

If - which is not clear at all at the moment - you find out that you must do it all from code, choose the API and then use your favorite search engine to learn how to use it. Consider especially SysExcelApplication (X++) and EPPlus (.NET). for instance.

If you run into a problem, come here and explain your particular problem.

They gave the report format. that i need to show directly in excel.

means when user run this report from menu item, it will open dialog , then user will  fill from date and to date and press ok.

then customer wants those data in to EXCEL DIRECTLY and save in particular directory.

    i hope you understand now
