Financial Dimensions does not auto-populate on the Offset account field on Customer payment journal

Hi,

I have a bank account setup named bank ABC. All the parameters are setup as required including the Financial dimension setups. When I use the same bank account (for Offset account field) on the vendor payment journal, the Financial dimension for the offset account is auto-populated however if I use the same bank account on the customer payment form the financial dimension for Offset account remains blank. I have verified that the customer account and on journal name form and it all appears correct.
I wonder why the financial dimension would populate on vendor payment journal and not on customer payment journal offset account fields.

Vendor payment journal

Customer payment journal

Immediate reply is much appreciated.
Thanks
Neeta

    Hi,

Can you check default dimensions for vendor and customer, its possible that for vendor journal the dimensions are flowing from vendor master

    Hi Neeta,

How is the data entry done? Was the payment proposal feature used or were lined entered manually in the journal?

    Hi Andre,

Both vendor payment journal and customer payment journal lines are entered manually. Payment proposal feature is not used.

    Thank you,

    Hi,
Can you check on journal names setup if you have addedd fixed value for bank account and financial dimension?

An alternative approach is to set financial dimension values directly on the bank account and associate the bank account with the payment method. This payment method can then be linked to the customer card-

    Hi Alireza,

The Fixed Offset account field is not configured. I have used the same journal name with a different bank detail and it worked. When I use the same journal name but a different bank name, the Offset account financial dimensions do not auto-populate.

This means that financial dimension values can be derived directly from the bank account. In this setup, you can either assign the bank account to a customer transaction or associate it with a payment method that is already mapped to a specific bank account. By doing so, the financial dimensions will automatically be retrieved from the linked bank account, ensuring accurate dimension allocation.

    Hi,

Since we had 2 banks, we kept the Offset account field on the Journal name form blank. When we selected the Account type as Bank and selected the bank account which was creating this issue in Offset account type field in the Offset Account Proposal section on the Journal names form, this issue got resolved.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

    Kind Regards,
    Neeta
