Importing Data ax 2012

I am trying to import data from a server to a different server. I have done this successfully a couple of days ago using the Test Data Transfer Tool (TDTT). During import, the process is stuck on the last few remaining tables (around 5-15) and there are no errors. Unfortunately, I cannot see which tables have jnot been imported because the log file is only created after the process is finished.

I also tried importing using a .bak file through an SQL Restore, but this did not work either. I left it overnight, and it was still in processing status. The data uncompressed is around 400mb, which should not take that long to import.

Any ideas on what the issue might be?

    Hello Matthew,

    You want to copy data as well as model from one server to another. or you just want to copy data ?

    You can also use attach and detach method to copy data if the SQL MDF and LDF file size is huge.

    Did you follow the configuration of test data transfer tool properly?

    You are supposed to import a job and update the table schema xml file into the TDTT installation folder. Also the Source and the target server you are trying to transfer the data should be of same application version.

    Also verify if you have sufficient access to SQL to overwrite the existing database
