DA3001 error message when trying to Activate mPOS [AX 2012 R3 CU10]

Hello,

I've created a fresh new VM, where I installed an AX 2012 R3 CU10 instance and all Retail Components in order to achieve a consolidated environment, for demo purposes.

When I attempt to Activate the Modern POS (mPOS), I face the DA3001 error message, informing that a connectivity issue was identified when trying to reach the server.

My Server URL is: http://MYMACHINENAME:MYHTTPPORT/RetailServer/v1

This is also the value available in the Channel Profile, assigned to the Store from which the POS Register belongs to. I've successfully reached this page in a browser, downloading the "v1" file, as expected.

The strange thing is that when I point the Server URL to a totally independent Contoso MS Demo Machine, the activation proceeds with success. So, it seems to be related to the Retail Server itself, or with the host/dns settins of this specific VM.

Note: no entry is generated on EventViewer for this error.

Note 2: the "Publish" button is not available in the CU10 release of the Retail Store form. Could I be missing a setup step? Is this "Publish" step deprecated in CU10? [Deprecated feature]

Any suggestions?

Thank you for your help!

In the channel database, setup the correct information under Retail Server fast tab.

The correct value is in the proper place, but thank you. Any other possible causes?

    Hello Luis,

I had the same problem. I just fixed it . Look here  for details sumitnarayanpotbhare.wordpress.com/.../modern-pos-activation-in-dynamics-ax-for-retail-r3

The section "Troubleshooting MPOS" at step 4 was the rigth hint for me.

    Best regards

SOLVED: the issue was that my environment data was created via import, using the Demo Data Transfer Tool. This action has inserted a deprecated value in the field "Server" in "RetailConnAOSProfile" table. As soon as I corrected the value to be compliant with the actual server name, and after an IIS reset, the activation happened with success. Thank you all.
