Resource allocation for scheduled work - visibility

We would like to see greater visibility into how resources are being allocated on a weekly/monthly basis.   Once jobs are started we want to look at how much machine time will be used every day. Since we typically have 30 days work of production started we should see all machines running at a high capacity at all times. Since resources have already been scheduled the data is available in the system to show us what is running on what machine (or group of machines) at what time – we just need to pull this data out of the system in an easy to read manner.

The data you are looking for is in the WrkCtrCapRes.

Use Excel to get the data. Preferably using the Excel Add-in for Microsoft Dynamics.

Some data are stored in Seconds... Devide them by 86400 and use the date/time format hh:mm.

    Good luck

You can also use the capacity overview inside AX.

Go to the Resource and click "Capacity load, Graphically". Here you can compare and aggregate data based on planned, actual and capacity.

If you want a shortcut to export data to Excel. Got to "Capacity load" and click CTRL+T. This will export the data to Excel. :)
