We have a requirement to generate a weekly report on active opportunities that provides a summary or a snapshot view of each opportunity's latest update. The purpose is to get a sense of what work has been done on the opportunities in the last week without having to drill into each opportunity and review the timeline. The team manager should be able to review the report / view and get a sense of whether work has been done on the opportunity in the last week and "where things stand" at that point in time.
This seems like it would be a common requirement for many organizations, but I cannot figure out a way to technically achieve this. Has anyone come up with a way to show this information?
There is the option to create a text field for "Latest Update" and have our sales rep fill this in on each of their opportunities each week, but that adds more work for them that really shouldn't be necessary.
Any suggestions on how best to achieve this is much appreciated!
