GP 2013 Financial Summary module

Posted on by 5

Hello,

I have an issue that I really need assistance with. I changed my fiscal year to a calendar year. It was July-Jun initially and I changed it to Jan-Dec. But now if I go under Financial summary for an account, I am missing the July period, I don't see any amounts in the table. Period 7 which is July is completely missing. I do see all the transactions under Account transactions. How do I reconcile so everything shows up? Please help!

Thanks

RE: GP 2013 Financial Summary module

Hi, I changed the fiscal periods, no issues with that. Issue is that my Jun2020 ending balance is different than my Jul2020 opening balance. For example, the ending balance at June2020 is 32,130.51 and opening for July2020 is -63,920.61. The 32,130.51 was rolled over but there was a 2nd BFF CLOSE entry for -96,051.12 which changes the balance to -63,920.61. I don't know why???

Initial fiscal year was July 2020 - Jun 2021 and I changed it to July 2020 - Dec 2021. I don't know why it's messing up the opening balances???

    Please help.

Go to the Fiscal Periods Setup Window, check the Periods in recent Fiscal Years to make sure there are no gaps in the Periods.

The procedure should be similar to following article, even though the article is about making Fiscal Periods different than Calendar Year. Test in Test Company first.
