How to Create a Purchase Order via Web Service

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hey Guys, i followed the how to create and consume Webservice Guide and everything is working fine so far. Now I'm trying to create a Purchase Order and I want to fill the Buy_from_Vendor_No (Vendor No.) Property via Web Service. If I try to fill the Property with a simple string i get an error.

Does anyone know how i can populate the property? There is no Class exposed in the Webservice that i could use. Can anybody help me out?

So what we need to do is to create the sales order in 4 steps:

    1. Create the Order Header

    2. Update the Order Header

    3. Create an Order Line

    4. Update an Order Line

Thats what i needed, its just a string. The only thing i did wrong was trying to set the property in the step of the creation.

Create then update solves my problem :). Thank you very much.

What error are you getting  ? and also send me the sample code you are using.

    Check this link for example,

Instead of Sales Order Page you need to use Purchase Order Page.
