Hello,
How are these Exchange rate types different to each other?
Average, Budget, Closing, default.
Thanks
The contoso environment is released with multiple exchange rate types, so our customers/partners can understand the complete functionality where you are able to have multiple exchange rates for same currencies and apply them for different processes. For example:You can setup USD1.1= EUR 1.0 in Default exchange rate for day to day transactions, and you can setup USD 1.2 = EUR 1.0 in Budget exchange rate for entering the budget registry. Then for consolidation purposes with Management reported you can setup USD 1.15 = EUR 1.0 in Average exchange rate type. So it all depends on the business requirement for your customer/users and how you would like to setup AX2012.Regards,
Thanks. So these rate types are used at other places as well other than in Ledger Parameters.
That is correct.
