Good morning , I am looking to assign leads or opportunities to an entity outside of our company in order to track actions taken by our partners when they are responsible for generating a deal. It is important not to confuse these actions with those of our own company. I imagine it would be necessary to create specific fields in the opportunity system, but I'm unsure how to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS.
You can add partners as users to your Dynamics CRM environment and then add those users to a team.
Set up security roles for this team, and the users inherit the team's security roles.
In the security role, there are only read and modify permissions to lead or opportunity.
When you assign lead or Opportunity records to this team, users in that team can access them and make changes.
System administrators, or other users with access to records throughout the organization, can view records owned by the partner user team.
