How do I integrate Microsoft Forms Pro with CRM? Is it possible to update an Account record based on a survey response?

Hello,

I'd like to be able to send a Microsoft Forms Pro survey from an Account in CRM by changing an option set field from No to Yes.  The survey contains one text field. Once the survey has been completed, I want the survey response to be added to a text field in the Account form.  How can I do this? Thanks!!

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Look for the entity called "Forms Pro Survey Responses", it contains all the information. You can build a plugin to update the information based on the "From" field. The "From" field is a party list.

Refer below blog on how to deal with party list field.

    Hi @Wei Jie Fun,

Thank you for your reply.  I do not have much experience with coding and do not have experience creating plugins so I'm not sure that is the best route for me.  Is it possible to update an account record based on a survey reponse's data without creating a plugin?

    Hi

If you are looking for no code solution, please see the details below

    Option 1:

If your survey has just one text field and if you want to copy that to an account field, you could create a workflow on Create of the forms pro entity called "Forms Pro Survey question response".

In your workflow you just have to have the step to copy value from the Response field of "Forms Pro Survey question response" record to the account entity field.

    Option 2:

You could create a flow to trigger on create of the same entity and update the account entity field.

    Hi Kokulan,

    Thank you for your reply.

I am a little confused.  I tried creating the Flow you mentioned but I need a way to identify the unique ID of the account I want the form response value added to. How can I do this?

I also tried creating a "workflow", but it seems I'm unable to update an account record based on the Forms Pro Survey Response.  Am I doing something wrong?

Lastly, my survey does have more than one question in it.  Will that be an issue?

    Thanks!!

    Hi tgiard.

You can't find the Account from the q"Forms Pro Survey Response Question" entity but from the entity called "Forms Pro Survey Response" into the Regarding field.

So if you want to call the workflow from the "Forms Pro Survey Response Question" entity you have to create an action on the entity "Forms Pro Survey Response" that returns the Account as output. Then you can first of all call this action from the workflow to retrieve the Account, and finally update the Account as you want.
