Vendor Notes on Vendor Inquiry, no access to Vendor Maintenance

I have a client that does not want to give access to the Vendor Maintenance Screen to all users, so we have setup only access to Vendor Inquiry.  The main reason for inquiry is being able to see the notes attached to the Vendor, but we can't see the NOTES from Vendor Inquiry.  Has anyone been able to work around this?

    There's alwasy the potential to add the note field through Modifier or other customization but I'm not sure what all would be involved in that.  Does the client just not want users to change data on the Vendor maintenance window?  You could potentially use Field Level Security to disable the Save button on the Vendor Maintenance window for those users.

    Just a thought.  Hopefully someone else can chime in regarding adding it through Modifier or other means.

    I don't see that disabling the Save button on the window resolves the issue as the user can use the radio buttons and the bottom or click on the x for the window and get the dialog to save and allow you to save there.  Unless i am missing how to disable that option as well. 

    Anyone else have a solution?
