impossible to import a list of accounts from excel

I am trying to import a list of companies and contacts in Dynamics 365 Sales but it does not let me, and tells me that the group does not have privileges. I have managed profile in Office 365, but it lets me do such a simple task. I am putting faith in Dynamics again but I see that it is still as rigid.

You do need to make sure that your user profile has the appropriate Security privileges required to do the data import. In your instance, you need to have

    1. Create (in addition to Read / Write) privilege on the Account table and Contact table. Please do add Append / Append To privilege as per your requirement.
    2.  Privileges on the Data Import and Data Map tables - Kindly grant Global scope for the Data Import and Data Map tables for all privileges except Delete privilege for which assign it with a Scope of Local (User)
Kindly update any one of the Security Role that is assigned to you to include the above mentioned privileges. Alternatively, you can create a new Security Role called Data Importer and then assign the privileges.

If you could do that and give it a try, it should work.

Alternatively, if you have System Administrator role, then you do not need to update Security Roles.

    Hello PP-05072329-0,

You can follow the simple steps to import your data into Dynamics 365 Sales application.

If you are mapping the owner field while importing the data, please ensure that the user (Owner you selected during import) must have permission to create, read, and write permission to the same tables/entity.
