Vendor Master data

(0) ShareShare

We want to share our Vendor Master data and Vendor bank information between all the legal entities in our organisation.  I understand that I need to create a virtual company and restart the AOS etc..

I also need to create a TABLE COLLECTION for the related vendor tables.  Apart from VendTable and VendBankAccount, which other tables do I need to include in this table collection.

Thanks in advance for your response.

    Hi Sunil,

Take a look at this blog and then choose if you want to copy vendors by using e.g. Data Import/Export Framework or really want to create a table collection:

    www.kaya-consulting.com/.../to-share-or-not-to-share

This blog applies for AX2012 only.

When you want to create a table collection and share the master data, you also have to consider including all setup tables which might be used on a vendor...

    Thanks André,

This is what I was concerned.  I will have to share everything from the Vendor group to the terms of payment and all the other reference data...

    Hey André,

Thanks for sharing the info on 'whether to share or not to share'. But all it says is, to share all related tables (whether it be customer or vendor). No specifics. It was a bit of a redundant link if it doesn't mention which tables specifically. Especially when the question is asking for a detailed list of tables. Don't you think?

    Hi Kartik,

Thanks for your opinion. I think when Sunil wanted to have a specific list, he did not verified the answer, but asked more in detail. When I answer the questions I give hints rather than writing in detail. So the person can learn more by thinking himself. In this case I think he can find the setup tables himself. You can look at multiple questions on the forum. When an answer is not sufficient they will continue asking questions...

As participation in this forum is voluntary and I do have work as an AX consultant, I cannot do the work itself. I don't have the time for answering all questions in detail and I would have no income anymore when I do everything for free...
