Free Text Invoice in AR - does it support intercompany functionality?

I do not see any option to create an intercompany invoice in Free Text Invoice (in AR) page. Am I correct, should we use GL instead, and if so, how are we going to print the invoice? We do not want any trading relationship to be configured.

No, it doesn't support, we had customized it with ap invoice journal as IC process in one of the implementation.

I think your only option is to post the free text invoice with distribution to a clearing account and then post a general journal to record the intercompany. Or a customization of course.

Hi,
This is not standard behavior in the system, and the concept of "invoice" may not be directly applicable when using general ledger journals for intercompany transactions. You may consider using a general journal to generate reports or customize them from standard financial reports to suit your requirements.
