We need to migrate from Out Bound Marketing to Real Time Marketing / Journey, does any one has step by step document to follow to complete the migration?

While there isn’t a single official “step-by-step” document from Microsoft covering every scenario, here’s a general migration guide based on best practices and available documentation:

1. Prepare for Migration

Review feature parity: Some Outbound features may not be available in RTM. Check Microsoft’s comparison for details.

Identify assets: List all marketing emails, segments, forms, customer journeys, and customizations in Outbound that you need to migrate.

Check licensing: Ensure your environment is enabled for Real-Time Marketing.

2. Enable Real-Time Marketing

Go to Settings > Feature switches in Dynamics 365 Marketing.

Enable Real-Time Marketing if not already enabled.

3. Migrate Data & Assets

Segments: Recreate segments in RTM using new audience rules. Outbound static/dynamic segments do not automatically transfer.

Emails: Rebuild marketing emails in RTM using new editor (copy-paste content as needed).

Forms: Create forms using RTM’s form designer for new submissions.

Journeys: Recreate customer journeys in RTM, mapping triggers and actions as closely as possible.

Customizations/Integrations: Review any custom workflows and integrations for compatibility with RTM.
