How to process the business operation by batch program ?

Maybe this is a difficult question...

As you known, we can do some business operations such as create PO/ vendor / production  on the page, but know there are the requirements that we need finish these operations by batch program.

We found some documents that tell us how to create PO/Journal etc.. but the documents is not enough.

So are there some documents which can tell me the operation interface through the batch program? (For example: you can use XX method of VendorTable etc..)

Or I'll be very appreciate that if you can tell me how to trace the source code method for some one page button operation ( such as create PO button) .

thanks!

I have the same question (0)

If you want to find out what a button does, look at it in the form definition in AOT. As the first thing, notice its type. Usually it's either a menu item button (then look at the associated menu item to find out which class or form or so it opens) or a plain button (then check its clicked() method). It might also be a command button, which executes a standard form action, such as closing the form (and there may be logic in a standard method, such as closeOk().

Alternatively start from the executed process (e.g. if you know that the process creates a PurchTable record, out a breakpoint to PurchTable.insert()), debug it and review the stack of method calls.

Batches are classes extending either RunBaseBatch or SysOperationController. In case of RunBaseBatch, the actual logic is in run() method. SysOperationController allows you to specify which method should be executed. It might even be in a different class, which is often the case (it seperates the actual business logic and the infrastructure for batch processing).

HI RongYan, you can extend the basebatch class and put your code there to make the job in a batch queue.

    Hi Martin

Thanks for telling me the right way.

    Best Regards.
